POLICE are hunting two men after a woman was robbed in broad daylight.

The 47-year-old victim was hit in the face on her way to Winchester city centre between 3.50pm and 4.10pm yesterday.

The woman was approached by two men near Andover Road and attempted to fight off one who grabbed her black Radley handbag. The other man hit her in the face and the pair ran off with her bag, police said.

The designer bag contained a black Radley purse and a gold Tiffany bracelet which was still in its original aqua coloured box.

The suspects are described as white men aged between 18 and 20 years old. They are around 5ft 8 tall and of slim build.

They were both wearing hooded tops with the hoods up of which one was grey.
