FOUR suspected drug dealers were arrested in Winchester after police stopped and searched a car.

Undercover and uniformed officers swooped on the group on Friday afternoon.

Residents in Water Lane watched on, as three men aged 24, 23 and 19 were arrested along with a youth aged 16.

One person who was walking on the road as the arrests took place said she could see officers with a group of men and said there were two police cars at the scene.

A police spokesperson added:"We made a stop check on April 8 in Water Lane at around 1pm.

"A drugs search was carried out on car and evidence of possible drug supply was found.

"Four people were arrested in suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

"They are aged 19, 16, 24 and 23 all male and from London. They have all now been released on bail until the 6th and 7th of June."
