TRISTRAN Scot was caught nearly double the drink drive limit in Winchester city centre.
He was stopped by police on June 6 driving a 57-reg BMW 3 series on North Walls.
When breathalysed his reading was 65 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath, nearly twice the limit of 35.
Scott, 38, of Honeysuckle Close, Badger Farm, denied the charge but was found guilty at a trial at Basingstoke Magistrates Court.
He was banned from driving for 18 months, fined £300 as well as a £30 victim surcharge and £500 costs.
The ban will be cut by 133 days should Scott pass an approved course.
Scott also admitted failing to surrender to Aldershot Magistrates Court on November 16.
A further allegation that he failed to surrender on January 20 was withdrawn.
