POLICE are hunting burglars who stole more than a thousand pounds worth of sentimental jewellery including an engagement ring from a home in Winchester.
The thieves targeted an address in Oliver’s Battery and stole classically designed items including gold rings, bracelets and an engagement ring.
The burglary happened between October 16 and 26. Police are asking members of the public to look out for any gold items which may be sold on.
Police Constable Mike Ahearne from the Northern Investigations Team, said, “A lot of jewellery has been taken in this incident. Have you been offered any old-style gold or silver jewellery recently?”
