POLICE are searching for a man caught on CCTV in connection with a daylight assault on a young woman in Winchester.
A 20-year-old woman was attacked in Water Lane at around 8.30am on Saturday, October 17.
Police acknowledged the poor quality of the image but urged anyone who knows the man to come forward.
He is described as white with tanned skin and aged between 30 and 40 years old. He is said to be of medium build with short, possibly balding hair. He may have facial hair or stubble and was wearing a grey hooded top.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: "Were you in the area of Water Lane and Union Street on Saturday morning? Have you seen someone who looks similar to this?
"We appreciate that this image is taken from the back and therefore isn't of the best quality. However we are hoping that someone may recognise this man from his clothing and description."
Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting crime reference number 44150360790.
