POLICE are calling for witnesses after a man was attacked in Winchester over the weekend.
An 18-year-old man was walking back from the pub in Worthy Lane with his girlfriend when he was kicked in the face by two strangers.
He suffered multiple facial injuries, including a broken front tooth, during the Sunday attack.
A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary said: “An 18-year-old man was assaulted walking home after a night out in Winchester with his girlfriend. He was attacked by two unknown men near The Winchester Hotel.
“He was kicked in the face several times.”
The man was taken to A&E at Royal County Hampshire Hospital shortly after the incident took place between 12-12.30am.
