A CORONER has decided against resuming an inquest into the death of a Winchester woman killed on the Isle of Man.
Gwen Valentine, 62, of Wavell Way, Stanmore, was visiting her son last April when she was struck by hit and run driver Donovan Kitching.
Isle of Man coroner John Needham made his decision because all the facts that the inquest would establish were raised at the court hearing.
Kitching, 30, was jailed for 10 years in October after admitting causing death by dangerous driving.
Mrs Valentine, who worked at IBM until retiring the previous month, was due to have got married in May.
