POLICE have appealed for information following a burglary near Winchester.
On Tuesday, November 11, a secured house at Teg Down Meads was entered at some time between 10.30am and 7.30pm while the occupant – a man in his 50s – was away.
When he returned he discovered a rear window had been smashed and an antique sword stick stolen.
The item is described as a three-and-a-half foot long black walking stick with an ivory handle, concealing a straight steel blade.
Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact police by phoning PC Cassandra Hakin on 101.
