Desmond Clarke is convicted of assaulting police at his home in Shore Lane, Bishop's Waltham
A BISHOP’S Waltham man who assaulted police as they tried to arrest him is set to be sentenced this month.
Desmond Clarke, of Shore Lane, has pleaded guilty at South and South East Hampshire Magistrates Court to two counts of assaulting an officer after police swooped on his flat to arrest him for theft last week.
The 52-year-old also pleaded guilty to theft and possessing class B drugs, after officers found a small amount of cannabis in the flat.
He is due to be sentenced by Portsmouth Crown Court on November 24.
