A GERMAN woman was abused by a group of youths in Winchester.

The 21-year-old woman was walking along Cromwell Road in Stanmore, on the phone to her sister and speaking in German.

A man then bumped into her from behind and she saw a group of a further three men.

Members of the group then began verbally abusing the woman and made it difficult for her to get past. They also made derogatory comments about her nationality.

The incident happened at about 4.15pm on November 20.

Police today appealed for information about the youths who are all thought to be between 16 and 18 years old.

The first is described about 5ft 10ins tall, white, with black medium length hair and a medium slim build. He was wearing a black Puffa-style jacket and dark trousers.

The second is about 5ft 9ins tall, white, with short, dark brown hair. He was wearing a grey tracksuit top.

The third is described as about 5ft 7ins tall, mixed race with dark short hair and was wearing tracksuit-style clothing.

The fourth is about 5ft 6ins tall with short dark blond hair and was wearing a hooded top.

PC Matthew Deakin said: “This was very distressing for the victim, so I am keen to hear from anyone who has information which may assist this investigation.”
