THE director of a Basingstoke marketing agency has become a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).

Kaia Vincent, who founded Brevity Marketing in Basing View in 2010, has been awarded the highest-ranking member level in recognition of her senior and strategic level of experience.

Having been working in marketing for 22 years, Kaia began her career as an editor of market analysis reports for the drinks industry before moving into marketing at the same company, Canadean which is now known as GlobalData.

She took the initiative to start studying for CIM qualifications and Canadean supported and funded her to complete a CIM Post Graduate Diploma.

Moving into Canadean’s corporate marketing department was Kaia’s lucky break as she got to use all her marketing skills from brochure, website and campaign design through to organising high-profile European events for senior personnel within the drinks industry.

Kaia established Brevity in response to client demand.

From these roots, Brevity expanded into a fully-skilled marketing team with a diverse set of clients located across Hampshire and Berkshire.

She said: “Becoming a fellow is like having a Kitemark for quality.

“It’s brilliant to have my professional skills and experience recognised in this way. Since achieving my marketing post-graduate diploma back in 1999, the Chartered Institute of Marketing has been a source of professional support for me and I’m delighted this will continue.”

“Helping small and medium-sized businesses achieve their goals is hugely rewarding. We’ve been growing our in-house team of marketing experts over the years. As a result we now have a great collection of clients and can pinpoint how and where we’ve made them more successful.”
