FOOTBALL-mad youngsters flocked to take part in a World Cup-themed competition.
During the course of the World Cup, Simmons & Sons, based in Wote Street, ran a football-inspired colouring competition for children aged four and 11.
The youngsters were challenged to design their best World Cup football kits with Simmons & Sons staff working with an array of schools in the borough to send out entry forms to more than 2,000 children.
As a result, there were 71 entries with the winners picked out after the World Cup final earlier this month.
Winner Jude Beatens, seven, received a prize of a guided tour of Wembley while runners-up Lucy Judd and Aryan Laxman Rajesh will each recieve family tickets to a Basingstoke Town FC game as the club worked with Simmons & Sons on the competition.
