A NEW forum has been launched to build dialogue between the business and political spheres of Basingstoke.
Maria Miller MP attended the launch of the Basingstoke Business and Enterprise Forum at Absolutely Offices, in Chineham.
The forum is aimed at ensuring there is a regular dialogue between Basingstoke businesses and Basingstoke’s political representatives.
The MP met with the forum’s founders Beryl Huntingdon, John Jervoise, Andrew Henderson and Pauline Hedges and approximately 20 Basingstoke businesses.
At the meeting, she addressed the group, answering questions on a wide range of topics.
Mrs Miller said: “It was very encouraging to see so many businesses attend the launch and discuss key concerns such as connectivity and sustainability.
“I am continually meeting local entrepreneurs who have successfully started up and grown their business here in Basingstoke.”
The forum aims to meet regularly and welcome ministers and senior political figures who are keen to engage with businesses.
