VOLVO drivers in Basingstoke can now buy their car accessories directly online following the launch of the manufacturer’s new accessories website.

The new accessories site includes practical items so that customers can adapt their car to their lifestyle. It includes child seats, towbars, bicycle racks, roof boxes, canoe/kayak holders and alloy wheels that are ordered online and delivered directly to Snows Volvo Basingstoke dealership.

Accessories such as parking sensors can be browsed online, but ordering and fitting are undertaken direct with Snows Basingstoke’s aftersales team.

Neil McCue, from Snows Basingstoke, based in Brunel Road, said: “When customers take delivery of a new car, there is so much information to take on board – from the car’s extensive features to its servicing requirements – that it isn’t always practical for them to consider additional items.

“While we highlight accessories that we think would be useful to a particular customer, such as a dog harness or load compartment divider if they regularly take their dog with them, there are so many that it is impossible to highlight them all.

“It’s often not clear that a certain accessory will make a customer’s life easier until they have lived with the car for a little while. Providing access to our accessories online, complete with the means to purchase most items without having to leave the comfort of your own home, is far more convenient. For more complex accessories such as parking sensors, we are also always on hand to explain the options and fitting process.”

With the first customer deliveries of the new XC60 premium mid-size SUV taking place this month, coinciding with the release of the new ‘67’ registration plate, Snows Basingstoke expects the accessories site to be well used.

Mr McCue added: “It is very exciting to take delivery of a new car, and accessories are the icing on the cake.

“The only problem is choosing which ones best suit you.”
