A NETWORKING group for female professionals came face-to-face with one of the wonders of the world when they visited prehistoric Stonehenge.

Members of the Wessex Women’s Professional Networking Group walked in the footsteps of their Neolithic ancestors at the World Heritage Site which dates back 4,500 years.

The group had an audio tour of the English Heritage site, before heading back to the venue’s visitor centre for some more networking and to enjoy Stonehenge’s famous rock cakes.

Sixteen female professionals, including accountants, solicitors, independent financial advisers and bankers, attended the event. They came from Dorset, Hampshire, Somerset and Wiltshire.

Organiser Leanne Hollington, of chartered accountants and business advisers PKF Francis Clark, said: “We normally hold our meetings with a guest speaker in Salisbury but the group felt they wanted to do something different.

“It was a very successful afternoon and we have received excellent feedback from members. They really enjoyed it.”

Wessex Women’s Professional Networking Group was launched last year by PKF Francis Clark in response to a lack of events for female professionals.
