AN EXPANDING law firm working for small-to-medium sized companies in the south has held a special thank-you event for clients.

Southampton-based Hybrid Legal specialises in fixed-fee work for more than 300 businesses after being founded by managing director Ryan Lisk three-and-a-half years ago.

As part of the firm’s growth, a fifth member of staff, Jon Craddock, has been appointed.

He joins as client partner, providing outsourced legal support to recruitment companies and firms from other sectors.

Jon was introduced to clients at Hybrid Legal’s informal gathering at the Dancing Man Brewery at the medieval Wool House at Town Quay, Southampton.

Previously providing in-house legal support to a specialist procurement recruiter near Southampton, Jon is a law graduate from Bristol and is training to be a chartered legal executive through the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.

Ryan said: “We like to host fun and interesting events for our clients, encouraging them to meet like-minded business owners, and the Dancing Man Brewery has certainly helped us achieve that.

“The thank-you event was also an occasion to introduce clients to Jon, who is providing valuable legal advice to recruitment companies, from reviewing contracts to regulatory updates in a fast-changing compliance environment.

“Jon is our second client partner, with Freya Claydon joining us at the tail end of last year. They provide dedicated support to our Legal Plus clients under our monthly legal support solution.

“We are increasingly receiving referrals from agile companies who like the reassurance of fixed-fee legal expertise. Few people in business like financial surprises in this day and age. What they want is cost certainty to suit them, not the lawyers.”
