A HAMPSHIRE commercial property firm received a string of honours at the EGi awards run by Estates Gazette.

Lambert Smith Hampton, which has offices in Southampton, Fareham and Winchester, has been announced as overall winner for the South East in the EGi Deals Competition.

The South Coast team played their part in the company topping the tables, having transacted the most deals for office, industrial and investment across the South East region.

The team also led EGi’s M27 Corridor League Table, securing 48 deals, and Lambert Smith Hampton was named the Most Active Agency in Hampshire.

Guy Jackson, a senior surveyor based at Fareham, was named EGi’s top Dealmaker title for the region.

The office agency team transacted more deals and more floor space than all other agents in the South Coast region.

Out of nearly 2,000,000 sq ft of industrial property transactions last year, the south coast offices of LSH was involved in two thirds.

LSH has some big project on its books. It is joint letting agent for the £30m South Central development at Test Lane, Nursling, which comprises three units that are set to bring 750 new jobs to the region and Alpha Park, Chandler's Ford, which is under construction with completed units ready in September of this year totalling 150,000 sq ft across three units.

The company is also the agent in the launch of Dunsbury Park, a 50-acre site at Havant with outline planning consent for more than 600,000 sq ft of space for industrial and storage use and the potential to create more than 3,000 jobs.

Andy Hodgkinson, office agency director for the south coast, said: “Our office sector specialists have had a hugely successful year and transacted the largest sale, the largest letting and the largest acquisition in the region.

“We have a number of large projects coming up, on both the office and industrial sides, as we enter the next financial year. In a market where clients need strong commercial advice we have proved our effectiveness."
