A science park is offering a start-up companies the opportunity to take a free spot at an event to promote the best of the area’s science and technology-led innovations.

Nucleus Expo 2016 will take place at the University of Southampton Science Park in Chilworth on September 21.

The event, sponsored by leading technology company Merck, will be the first event to take place in the park’s new 5 Benham Campus building, which is currently under construction.

In addition to around 35 exhibitors, there will be a programme of speakers yet to be finalised.

“Hampshire is fast becoming known as an entrepreneurial, innovation powerhouse and we know that bringing together like-minded spirits from across the industrial and academic spectra helps to fuel further discoveries. We are grateful to Merck, Hampshire County Council and Southampton Science Park for supporting this event,” said Layla Stacey, founder of Nucleus and managing director at React Communications.
