A WINCHESTER web designer has unveiled a new site enabling music-lovers to find their ideal tutor.

Philip Evelyn, of Oliver's Battery, has sub-contracted St Cross man Andi North to develop Purely Tutors - a platform to help budding musicians find a local teacher and for teachers to showcase their business.

Mr Evelyn, 48, has been working on purelytutors.co.uk for the last six months which will contain such faculties as academia and literature, business and professional, health and fitness, the arts and theatre, foreign languages, IT, as well as music and instrumental.

He said: “Tutors will be able to upload their profile on the website and students will be able to search for them. Purely Tutors is a new web platform designed for private tutors across the UK to advertise on, and for students to find the perfect match. The bespoke website makes searching for and finding tutors a smooth, safe and stress-free process.

“What makes purelytutors.co.uk unique is that due to clever filtering tools a match can be made extremely quickly, tutors will be able to upload a video presentation profile if they wish and I am proud of the fact I'll be offering my financial support to three charities.”

The business will make an annual donation to UK-based charities aimed at helping people with learning disabilities, when the website us unveiled on May 18.

“If the tutor decides on taking up a paid subscription service, then at the time of setting up their payment details they will be given the choice of which charity they wish to support,” Mr Evelyn added. “We believe that as not everyone is fortunate enough to be in a position to pay for extra private tuition, it is a good thing to help and support those in their journey of learning by us doing our little bit.”
