A mum and daughter team from Romsey have signed up to run a nanny agency.
Christine and Emily Whitmarsh have taken on the Hampshire franchise of Mum’s the Word.
The business was originally set up by Emma Kavanagh from Oxford in 1999 and since then branches have been set up in Berkshire, Gloucestershire, Buckinghamshire, Cardiff, Surrey and Kensington and Chelsea.
In addition to supplying qualified nannies, the agency also works with maternity nurses, nursery nurses, au pairs, babysitters, cleaners, housekeepers, gardeners and handymen.
These can be part-time, full-time, temporary or permanent appointments.
Christine has more than 35 years’ experience of being a secretary and Emily is currently working as a nanny. “Both of us have always wanted to set up our own business and our dreams have now become a reality,” said Christine.
“We are both very passionate about delivering the best possible service. We listen to our clients and candidates’ needs and aim to meet their requirements.”
