POLICE are appealing for witnesses after jewellery was stolen from a home in the Meon Valley.
Burglars broke into a house in Lippen Lane, Warnford, at some time between 7.35am and 3.40pm on Friday, September 23.
The thieves gained entry by smashing a window with a brick before stealing a variety of jewellery including a gold charm bracelet, two gold chains, three watched and various rings – one of which had the initials PRE inscribed on it.
PC Craig Robinson said: “I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw a black hatchback car with a tanned man described as in his late 20s in the drivers’ seat.”
