KERRIE Eves, owner of Baytree Beauty, in Wickham Square, is celebrating the success of her business by extending her opening hours to include Mondays.
Having taken the giant leap from student at Fareham College to running her own business, Miss Eves' hard work and determination has paved the way for her current success.
At 25 years old, she now has her own salon and employs two beauty therapists, working alongside her.
She has run a salon for six years and spent three years at Fareham College studying NVQ level 2 in beauty therapy, an international deploma in beauty therapy, a diploma in theatrical and media make up.
She said: "I went into Whispers hairdressing salon, in The Square, for a job and got offered it on a self-employed basis. At first I was petrified and turned it down, but I went away and thought about it and decided that I would like to be my own boss."
Baytree Beauty aims to provide a top quality service with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Located within Baytree Walk it offers rustic charm with its low beams and exposed brickwork.
Miss Eves, who is from Fareham, added: "Extending our opening hours is the culmination of six years hard work and it would not have been possible without the continuing support of our loyal clientele."
As a thank you, she is hosting an event on Saturday, September 13, where everyone will be able to view professional demonstrations, help themselves to refreshments and those attending will receive a goodie bag.
