DOG poo patrols have been launched in Bishop's Waltham as council chiefs urge residents to help tackle a rise in fouling.
Winchester City Council will send officers to problems areas in the town, including Pondside on Langton Road and the grounds of Bishop's Waltham Palace.
Anyone who witnesses dog fouling and can identify the owner by address is asked to contact Dave Griffiths, the council's senior animal welfare officer, on 01962 848350 or by emailing ehealth@winchester.gov.uk.
Residents are asked to include the time, date and exact location of the incident, as well as a description of the dog and its walker and, where applicable, a car registration number.
