BISHOP'S Waltham residents looking to become parish councillors will face a questionnaire to ensure they fit the bill.

Three vacancies are being advertised for co-option on Bishop's Waltham Parish Council after an uncontested election.

Candidates will be asked to list their experience in community participation, private values and availability for meetings, as well as explaining why they didn't stand in last month's poll.

Councillors turned away two volunteers at their meeting in May. They were told they risked "frightening away" potential colleagues by imposing eligibility criteria.
