City Council agrees grant to double Bishop's Waltham car park
PLANS to more than double the size of a Bishop's Waltham car park are edging closer.
Winchester City Council has agreed a grant of £50,000 to extend Jubilee Hall car park from 48 spaces to 119.
The project could be run by Bishop's Waltham Educational Institute.
The town faces a parking shortage. Parish chiefs also want the city council to convert their business site in Lower Lane into new spaces.
City chiefs rejected the idea in 2012 but received a fresh appeal from the parish this month.
