BETWEEN the knights, lasers, bee-keepers and classic cars, Bishop’s Waltham Carnival and Parade promises to be an eccentric affair.

Further details of live music, dance, crafts and activities were confirmed at the carnival committee last Friday ahead of the party on June 13.

Entertainment at Hoe Road Recreation Ground will come from the Marching Band, Swanmore-based Roynan Dance Group and Dance Kidz after the previously announced classic motor parade and carnival. There were also be a tug-of-war and historic re-enactment in the central arena.

Food, drink and more than 40 craft stalls will be complemented by bee-keeping demonstrations, farm goats, a mini steam railway, a play bus, inflatable laser tag and – last but not least – the WI’s traditional tea and cakes.

Anyone wishing to run a stall can contact Debbie Walker on 07785 577801 or debbiewalker06@btinternet.com.
