A DURLEY pensioner died after falling at his home and fracturing his skull, an inquest heard.
Albert Spencer, who lived alone, was found unconscious by carer Susan Sheppard in the hallway of the house in Whitegates on the morning of July 17 this year.
She immediately called paramedics who took the 94-year-old to Southampton General Hospital, where died there six days later.
The court heard that a post mortem concluded he died of the head injury.
Recording a verdict of accidental death, assistant coroner Sarah Whitby said: "He had had falls before.
"There's nothing to indicate that there was anyone else involved in this incident."
