THE first event saw 100 sacks of rubbish collected in Bishop’s Waltham in just two hours.
Now following on from the success of March’s Stop the Drop day, spearheaded by Cllr Robert Shields, the parish council is sponsoring a repeat event on October 26.
Wearing high-visibility jackets and armed with litter-pickers and bin bags, the town litter pick will see residents venture into hedgerows and roadsides in the name of community spirit.
The event will run from 10am to 12pm and volunteers will be split into groups and allocated a sector of the town.
In the coming weeks the parish council intends two planning meetings and advertisements are being prepared.
