Man killed in crash near Alresford
A motorist died after the car he was driving smashed into a tree today.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash just before 5am.
Police were called to the scene on the eastbound carriageway of the A272 at West Meon Hut, the junction with the A32 near Alresford.
The road has been closed in both directions while crash scene investigators examine the scene of the crash that happened near to Kitts Lane.
The incident disrupted bus services including transport to Perins School in Alresford.
