Alresford Rotary Club raise cash to battle disease

ALRESFORD Rotary Club have raised over £400 to help battle Polio.

The club and Shapla Restaurant in West Street, organised a curry evening on February 24 to raise funds for the Day for Life in aid of the worldwide eradication of Polio.

Some 35 Rotarians and guests sat down to an excellent meal served up by Mr Moon and his staff.

The £400 proceeds will be matched by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and all the money will go direct to fighting polio.
