NO fewer than seven extra bands have been added to the bill for the first Alresford Music Festival.
Taking place in June, the one-day event will feature a range of musical genres, including a rock concert on the Perins School playing fields.
Several bands have now signed up for the event, including a trio of talented bands from Winchester.
Polly and the Billets Doux have confirmed they will be playing, along with indie outfit, The Ashbies.
Also set to take the stage is Winchester-based electro trio, Scarlet Soho.
Southampton-based covers band, The Hattie Jacques' Playlist, will also be making the journey along the A31.
The other bands confirmed include folk and rock band, Pressgang, and two guitar groups in the shape of Bighton Rock and Rattlewreck.
The bands will be joining the likes of Rolling Stones tribute act, The Counterfeit Stones, already announced as the festival's headline act.
Organiser, Brian Hayward, said: "We are very excited by the bands announced for the Festival line-up.
"We are still waiting upon confirmation of a few more but this is already looking to be an amazing event."
The event will take place on Saturday, June 19, and tickets cost £20 in advance and are on sale now.
Mr Hayward added: "Each of the bands announced have a strong following of fans and they are starting to bulk buy tickets.
"Numbers are restricted and we are encouraging local festival goers to buy their tickets as soon as possible."
