BY Saturday there will have been nine baptisms this year in the little tin Church in the Wood in Bramdean Common.
The Church in the Wood is marking the end of summer with a harvest festival service at 3pm on September 24, decorated elaborately as usual, the decorations going afterwards to Winchester Churches Nightshelter.
Take your dogs, hamsters, horses and combine harvesters if you like but also don’t forget some produce.
It need not be grown but could be a tin or two of some useful food or cleaning material or even a roll of black bags. The nightshelter has a use for such things.
To find the church, listen for the bell at 2.45pm and follow the sound.
There will be Carols in the Wood on the December 10 at 3pm.
