THOMAS Allam has been banned from driving after being caught over the alcohol limit.
Allam, 28, was stopped by police whilst driving a 62-reg VW Caddy van on the B3354 in Winchester on May 29, magistrates in Basingstoke heard.
Allam admitted having 89 micrograms of alcohol in his breath when the legal limit is 35, meaning he was nearly three times the limit.
Allam, of Shepherds Field, Martyr Worthy, was disqualified for 17 months, fined £120 and ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
The ban will be cut by 17 weeks if he passes and approved driving course before may 23 2018.
