A SOUTHAMPTON couple have been convicted of stealing wood from a hampshire woodland.
Tracie Caroline Emily Cooper, 47, and Nigel Michael Cross, 50, admitted the offence committed at Bramdean Common, near Alresford, on February 21, taking wood belonging to Daniel Blackburn, a court heard.
A charge of stealing wood on November 9 was withdrawn as was a charge of causing harassment, alarm and distress when prohibited from stealing wood by a criminal behaviour order imposed on April 13 2015.
Cooper and Cross, both of Ludlow Road, St Denys, were each fined £120 with a £30 victim surcharge and £20 costs by magistrates at Basingstoke.
