PLANS for four homes in Alresford have been approved.
The application by Mark Sennitt for Western Villa, 58 The Dean, included a pair of semi-detached houses and two detached houses.
There were seven objections, regarding fears over the impact on neighbours’ privacy, the height of the buildings and increased traffic.
The plans were previously refused as the site was located outside the settlement boundary and because of the detrimental impact to the character of the area.
The site now falls within the boundary.
Cllr David McLean asked whether the new materials being used would be too modern, but head of development management Julie Pinnock said the proposed homes were of high-quality and similar in form to existing properties.
The application passed unanimously.
