ALRESFORD Young Farmers have presented a cheque for £1,084.69 to Marlfield Care Home.
Over the past year, the young farmers have been raising money for Marlfield Care Home, their chosen charity of last year, close to the heart of some of the members.
Funds have been raised by a variety of events including meals, Christmas carols and the main event being a muck lug where members delivered manure by the bag full, up to a trailer load to residents in the Alresford area.
The money raised for Marlfield is due to be used for more wheelchair friendly picnic benches, raised garden beds and a trip out for the residents to continue with the beneficial work they already do.
Alresford Young Farmers would like to thank all who helped fundraise and donated towards this good cause.
Here’s to another year of fundraising for Alresford Young Farmers, this time for The Murray Parish Trust with the next event being the annual muck lug on Sunday February 19 within Alresford and Old Alresford.
