VILLAGERS are being warned to expect extra traffic on the A272 during the BoomTown event in August.
The annual festival was earlier this month granted permission for 60,000 people on site on August 11-14, 10,000 more than previously allowed.
This year there will be a 2,000-space car park which on Monday, August 15 will empty with cars directed to turn left towards Cheriton and Bramdean.
Heavy traffic is expected on Thursday, August 11 and Monday, August 15 with Spitfire Link and Winnall interchange expected to be congested.
