THE annual Alresford Show continues to do well, according to its annual report.
The event, always held on the first Saturday in September at Tichborne Park, made a surplus in 2015 of £19,957, down from £28,086 in 2014.
Donations to charity were reduced from £19,700 but £16,650 was given to numerous organisations including Alresford Pigs, cubs and scouts, the town horticultural society, Women’s Institute, Young Farmers and air cadets.
The annual meeting heard there was concern about the lack of heavy horses and pigs on show in 2015 and that it is vital that it retains a diverse display of livestock and horses.
