The devastation in Nepal
VILLAGERS near Alresford are holding a fund-raising event for people affected by the earthquake in Nepal.
Bighton and Gundleton Book Club is holding a Bring-and-Buy sale in the village hall on Saturday May 23 at 2.30-4.30pm.
All proceeds will go through the Gurkha Welfare Trust to help out in the Himalayan country.
Attractions will include books and DVDs, cakes, jams and honey, plants, raffle and refreshments, with special attractions: Children’s Story Corner and recommended reading lists for Kindle owners.
The hall will be open from 10am on the day for donations of books, produce and plants.
