A TOWN councillor has resigned, the full Alresford Town Council meeting heard.
Chairman Cllr Lisa Griffiths announced that Ann Stow has left due to work commitments.
The meeting also heard that Cllr Stuart McCullouch will not restand, and New Farm Road resident Irene Spencer said his departure is a great shame.
“I know I don't know Stuart well but from what I have seen it's such a shame you have decided not to stand again,” she said.
Her comment was echoed by councillors - who also received praise from Mrs Spencer.
She said: “I have been sitting in on council meetings for the past six months and you have faced such challenges and I don't know how you have all done it. There’s still a few smiles around.”
