AN Alresford school is one step closer to opening a newly-refurbished teaching block.
The English classrooms, named Pascal, at Perins School have been handed over from contractors and will be ready for lessons in January.
Work on the 1970s block started in September, which saw the roof rebuilt, insulated, walls clad and windows replaced with double glazing.
It was thanks to a grant from the Academies Capital Maintenance Fund, approved by the Education Funding Agency.
It will help reduce the school’s energy bills and carbon footprint whilst improving the learning environment.
The school has also been given £10,000 towards installing solar panels on the block’s roof.
