Alresford town chiefs back market town officer for another year
ALRESFORD Town Council has agreed to fund a market town officer to help boost tourism for another year.
The town signed up to the scheme, provided by Winchester City Council, in July.
October’s Halloween walk was the first event organised by the officer.
Councillors at their recent meeting agreed to fund the scheme for another year at one day per week. It will cost around £6,000.
