PLANS for Winchester house-building over the next 20 years are set to go on show for the first time.

Local Plan Part Two, which maps sites for 2,000 new homes and charts the city’s housing vision for the next 20 years, has started public consultation.

The proposals will tour throughout November, with council officers on hand to answer questions and explain the plans.

Consultation launched last month and the first exhibition takes place on November 6 in Waltham Chase Village Hall.

On November 7 officers will be on hand at Alresford Community Centre, before visiting Bishop’s Waltham’s Kings Church on November 8, Kings Worthy’s Tubbs Hall on November 10, Winchester Discovery Centre on November 12, Wickham Community Centre on November 13 and Colden Common Community Centre on November 14.

Swanmore Village Hall will host the display for two days on November 14 and 15 before the final exhibition, in Denmead Community Centre, on November 19.

The window for comments closes on Friday, December 5.
