SKILLED hedgelayers will take part in the county championships near Alresford on Sunday October 19.
Around 20 competitors are expected at the event at Hattingley Barn at Medstead from 9am to 5pm, by permission of Simon Robison.
There will be open, novice and team events with layers working in styles known as Midland and South of England.
Proceeds will go the charities Meningioma and Move.
The competition has been organised by Christopher Sparkes, of Hedgesparrow coppice products, based on Alresford Road, near Morn Hill.
The public are welcome with an entrance charge of £2 for adults and free for children.
