TOWN councillors are requesting action to help reduce problems for residents of The Soke.

They reported damage to property arising from traffic from Alresford Salads and are requesting Hampshire County Council install bollards and high visibility signage.

Cllr Margot Power proposed that the town council asks the city council to investigate and take action regarding alleged breaches of planning consent with hours of deliveries, volume of traffic and business classification.

Councillors also raised concerns about possible pollution of the water caused by the watercress business.

She said: “I think we need to get on the Environment Agency and show that we are interested in what is going on within our environment.”
