Ropley cricketers to aid Help for Heroes
A VILLAGE near Alresford is to hold a fundraiser to help a military charity.
Ropley Cricket Club, in Vicarage Lane, will host the Help for Heroes Cricket Day on Sunday, July 6, with junior league matches starting at 10am.
A Ladies vs Help for Heroes match will follow, with Ropley CC facing a charity team in the afternoon.
The village was recently hit by a devastating fire as their 800-year-old church went up in smoke earlier this month (June 19).
