* PARISH chiefs in Bishop’s Sutton are getting fed up with school buses being parked in laybys near the village.

Council chairman, Aileen Miller, said: “It is becoming quite a problem, with buses parking all day
on the B3047. The drivers are locking up after 8am and then getting a lift before coming back at
3pm.

"It is taking up the lay-by which should be for the travelling public. They are doing it to save the cost of using diesel in going back to base.”

* ALRESFORD resident Robin Atkins says he is glad that the town council has declared him a
vexatious complainant.

The council passed a resolution to stop councillors and staff communicating or responding to his
questions.

Mr Atkins, of Lindley Gardens, has been a critic of the council over its handling of the games machines issue at Alresford Recreation Centre and the sacking of bar manager, Heather Graham, in June, 2013.

He says Winchester City Council has said this is the first time in Hampshire that anyone has been
cited as a vexatious complainant.

Mr Atkins adds that he accepts that he does complain, but for good reason; namely that the town council should be accountable for its actions and losses and alleged overspending of public money.

An employment tribunal in Southampton is due to hear the Graham case on July 21.
