BISHOP’S Waltham has a significant drug problem, according to neighbourhood police.

At a parish council meeting on Tuesday (October 10), clerk Lindsay Edge said the problem had been identified following a meeting between police officers and residents.

Mrs Edge said: “There’s a drug issue in Bishop’s Waltham that the police are aware of and are dealing with. We do not know any more than that.”

PACT events (Partnership and Community Together) are open to members of the public and aim to establish local priorities for safer neighbourhoods. The quarterly meetings are co-ordinated by Winchester Rural South Safer Neighbourhood Team and are open to members of the public.
