POLICE investigating a robbery in Winchester have released an e-fit image.

A 42-year-old vulnerable man was approached by an unknown man who threatened him and forced him to hand over tobacco.

The offender is described as white, aged between 27 and 38, of a slim build and had short blond or light brown hair.

The incident took place on August 15, but has only recently been reported to police.

PC Graeme Calver said: “Although this incident happened some time ago we would like people to look at this e-fit image and see if they recognise the man.

“Equally, if you were in the area in which the incident happened on August 15 and saw something suspicious, I would also like to hear from you.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Calver at North Walls Police Station in Winchester on 101 or call the charity Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.
