Emergency medical team in urgent need of volunteers.
A GROUP providing essential medical care is in urgent need of new members.
Meon Valley Community First Responders (MVCFR) attend emergencies and provide life-supporting care pending the arrival of an ambulance. The rapid response group aims to be on the scene within eight minutes and they want to mount 24/7 coverage in the Meon Valley. To do this, they require a team of 12-15 trained active responders.
Community First Responders originated in America, where the scheme saw pre-hospital survival rates improve by 25 to 30 per cent.
The MVCFR is looking for people in the Corhampton, Droxford, Meonstoke, Newtown and Soberton area. If you are interested in volunteering and are over the age of 18, hold a full UK driving licence and are reasonably fit, please contact Rob Scott on 01489 877800 for further details.
